At least they're made in America (north America, Canada). I priced some pine boards a few years ago and they were imported from Norway.
The supplier: www.liveedgetimber.com/gallery.html And another supplier closer to home in se WI: www.kmhardwoods.com/live-edge-slabs/inventory.cfm These are the grandkids cribs I made last winter (for identical twins), with lumber from KMH hardwoods. I'll be going up again in a couple weeks to get more wood to start on a third. These convert from crib to full for when they get older. Cost for two was about $800, red oak. They have quite a selection of materials for projects, with a sawmill onsite.

I have a garage full of that stuff. I'd be ecstatic if I could sell what I have for a quarter of that price. I once sold a guy a whole pickup bed full of live edge slabs for $25. Which was long before this silly craze of live edge and epoxy resin crap. Even now, everybody wants it but for some reason I can't give it away.
What do you do with it all? I was in a house once, where the guy built his house out of it. Solid oak floor joists, rafters, stud walls, flooring, the whole bit. Must have had a few oaks on the property.
