72 here, perfect weather to sit at the picnic table, not so much for swimming...or so my wife told me.
Looks like cathedral ledge in the background. If it is it’s a cool spot near North Conway NH. You can drive to a viewing area at the top. Once and a while a climber pops over the edge while you are standing there.
North Conway, NH. Echo Lake state park in the foreground, and Whitehorse Ledge in the background. The White Mountain hotel is in between them, but not visible. Theres a 9 hole golf course on the property, my inlaws have a house on the 8th fairway. Here's another view of the ledge. Our house would be a few hundred yards to the left. I took this a few years back.
Cathedral Ledge is just to the right of White Horse Ledge. Cathedral is one of my favorite sunrise spots in the valley. The fact that I can be on the ledge within 10 minutes of getting put of bed might have something to do with that though. The weather hasn't cooperated with that this trip though. Looked like tomorrow might be good, but that is appearing to be a bust now.
This is what you look like when you pull off 50 pounds of gear, when you come out of a burn building in 94+F mid day heat in July in Columbia SC. Shirt is soaked. You can't see my pants but there set down almost to my knees and wet from knee down.
We dont come up here as often as we used to. Inlaws built this house 14 years ago, and we used the crap out of it for the first 10 years, kinda burnt ourselves out on the area. Didnt come up for a few years, but we are starting to use it again.
A couple days off from the Enjoyment Center. Time to move two more wagons of hay into the barn that showed up yesterday. Then we will be full and have more than we need in there. Then, it looks like I’ll be mowing with the rotary cutter behind the tractor for a good part of the day. You hoarders have a good one!
