    I agree with papadave. Looks like Chinkapin Oak but maybe one of the others mentioned. We have a few on our land. On one of our walks through our woods, the state forester for our area was pleasantly surprised to see it. I'm not a pro at ID though... I know the basics for our area, but this is kinda rare here. I don't see that or some of the other oaks that often. I'm mostly familiar with White, Red, Pin, and Burr Oaks.

    I wonder if Swamp Chestnut is same tree we call Swamp White Oak here in Ohio? My guess is either Swamp White or Chinkapin
