So after about 16 years its time to seal the rock and concrete as I was informed yesterday. Too hot outside to do anything today. She wants it to look shiny so vacuumed the dust now gonna use a cleaner and large hard brush then wait till completely dry. Any suggestions on a good product? Am looking at the Behr brand. Thanks eh.. BEHR Premium 1 gal. Wet Look Sealer-98501 - The Home Depot
Nice looking stove and hearth. I don't remember which sealer we used, but the Behr brand should be good. They use our products in their paint lineup. Heard great things about your the paint.
I've used the Behr brand and it worked well. I don't recall that it was shiny though. Maybe if more coats were applied?
Thanks guys and will grab a jug of it tomorrow Jeff. If I was to do it again I'd be using a lot smaller rock as the big ones were only letting me do a row a day with the weight of them on the walls which was squishing down on the cement. Gonna spray/scrub again tomorrow and will see what it looks like Monday after sealed.
I'm not looking for shiny Semi as I'm just trying to do what I'm told. Hoping it kinda turns out like this though. Will see?
Thanks guys and enough left for another coat tomorrow. Ya she likes it Chaz and so do I, which I was first hesitant about Should be easier to keep the dust off also. This was Home Depot .com. BEHR Premium 1 gal. Wet Look Sealer-98501 - The Home Depot Not .ca $50 out the door here.
Out at the cottage this morning and grabbed some Birch. Little bit of Grape Seed Oil on the stove and done with it till fall.
