Finished getting my computer room/office all squared away yesterday.

The counter top for the new cabinet was originally fastened to the cabinet from inside the cabinet with screws that went through corner brackets.

The P O had used screws that were too long at some time and poked them through the laminate making fastening a problem....

The counter top was bowed like a banana a bit and so I decided to drill the holes through the top and bolt the top down with a few truss head 1/4" bolts.

For the application I am not fussy at all and now the top is flat and secure.

If the cabinet was going to be a built in and permanent I would have added some liquid nails on the top frame of the cabinet and weighted the top from a day to allow the top to be permanent..

This cabinet has to come apart into three pieces to get it out of the room.

    Ahhhh yess.

The joys of making stuff work....

Messing around with the new big screen for the puter and discovered all the cool adjustments that can be made to the screen as far as sound and picture goes.

The sound quality is great on this unit...even at high volume settings.

Went out at 7:30 this morning to finish off the roadside garden. I was bitten by mosquitos 4 times in 30 seconds, so I decided that I needed to go back inside until the heat settled them down. Went out about 9:30, made a run to Aubuchons for a couple more bags of compost, then planted a Coppertina Nine Bark, 3 Echinaceas (coneflowers) and a red day lilly. Mulched everything over and its done for now. Still some space if I see something I can't live without, but not going looking.

The stuff in front of this picture was already there, The planting began behind the small tree. Hu, that Ninebark blends in pretty well from this angle.

The two plants on the left are butterfly bushes that I had planted previously. The yellow and red flowers, the shrub behind them, and the two plants beside it are what I put in today

Got the bike out and washed and waxed it. It was covered in bugs from my sunrise rides to work, so a washing was really needed. By the time I was done with that, I went to get ice cream for lunch. I had gotten enough sun, so when I got home I stayed inside reading and napping until 4:30. Covered the windows in the garage door with rigid foam insulation scraps to help the garage from getting hot this week (high temps ad lots of sun expected). Then mowed my yard. Neighbor's yard will have to wait as that pooped me out. A nice cool shower and now yogurt for dinner.

Weather this Summer so far is goofy.

Little storm rolling in this morning with showers around.

Here it is the middle of July and we have yet to have 90 F this Month...
    June saw a couple 90 F days

Weather forecast is sounding like by weeks end we will see a couple overnight lows in the 40's F this will definitely be fire in the stove mornings...

    I love it.

Getting plenty of early "Road test" on the new controller on wee stove.

We had a few checks on the panel for the big stove...but the weather has been way too warm to run that beast.

Weather is still warm enough that the AC is running off and on.

Raining out now and its 71 F in the house, even after all night to cool off.

I am loving this summer so far... last July saw 15 days 90 F or above....
