i cant believe thats the same area! Its amazing what nature does when given time. I guess you do have enough sheds for the wood! My shirt was at wet as yours this afternoon while i was at the honey hole. It was like Georgia up here today. Dewpoint was 70+ temp in mid to upper 80's.

Sure wish we had oak that was as straight grained as that. All the stuff we have out here is way gnarly!

i have some nuggets and chunks that have been sitting for too long and have to toss them. Remnants and uglies go to the landlord for his stove.

Just slackness on my part not getting the small wood cut and stacked. I have a 5x10 shed for limb wood, up to about 3.5-4".

Well, we got our sunshade mounted on the splitter this afternoon. Thanks for the inspiration jrider ... IMG_20190630_194510128.jpg
Then I got a few logs staged for bucking and splitting first thing in the morning. IMG_20190630_201425954.jpg
All set up at the next sheds... IMG_20190630_201442464.jpg

Hay, you'r missing out on a really good time, i see that "LOG POND" ya'll are sitting in back there. You want to really liven it up, get yourself a good log, peel it, put it in there and have some log rolling competition!! I used to do it all the time on one of the saw mill ponds close to my house. Got my butt lit up by my dad more than once when he caught me down there. I have to say, i was pretty darned good at it too. Shoot, get a couple of pairs of old golf shoes and get it on!! If i was closer i'd come over and get ya started on it. Its a real hoot, especially on those hot summer day's , yup, they have women log rollers here in the PNW .

Had some big boys on the deck this morning. I did get the pile all bucked and some split. I'll get pics later, slow going, as we are sorting as we go. It got a little warm by quitting time... IMG_20190701_111650362.jpg IMG_20190701_164329712_TOP.jpg

Got another skid full of logs bucked and staged next to the splitter. Should be enough to finish this rack, maybe have enough to start on the next one beside it. 7934.jpeg 7932.jpeg Got our other saw, huskihl tricked, XS362, back yesterday, it sounds great. Haven't been able to make chips fly yet, but will soon... IMG_20190705_213058577.jpg IMG_20190705_213041181.jpg
