Thx, Planning to pull them @1 1/2 hrs then onto the gas grill for direct heat BBQ sauce for around 30 min Neglected the potato info, I found this and figured it was worth a try Grilled Potatoes in Foil We'll see how it goes.
On the grill for the final round, already been on for 15 min, flipped once. Kept the tail end to try without sauce. I'm really liking this rub so far.
I liked them both. The taters had to go into the microwave for a bit as they were not quite done. I think we forgot the low temps we were cooking the ribs at. Learning curve. It will become part of the normal menu. I think we might try adding some peppers next time.
Ribs came out great, potatoes not so much. I had grabbed a bag of white potatoes, not russets, and they required some microwave time to soften. Flavor was good, but the wrong potatoe for that cook method. Ribs were plenty moist and tender.
Some scalloped potatoes from a recipe I found on youtube. Also cooked some chicken thighs and country style spare ribs that I finished off inside with some bq sauce.
I forgot salt and pepper but otherwise they came out great and were a hit. I can post the youtube link for the recipe if that's allowed.
Decided to make some Char Siu on the Weber. Used pork shoulder that was marinated in the sauce overnight. Tasted just like the Chinese restaurant.
Yum, those look good. Ive been doing these lately as well. I did a batch for a smoked food party a few weeks ago and everyone raved about them. Not good for you but so sinfully delicious I cant stay away from them!
This is what I made the sauce from. Char Siu recipe- How to make it as good as Chinese restaurant I also used a package of NOH Char Siu mix as a base. You just add water. Chinese Barbecue (Char Siu) (2.5 oz)
