    Lunch break hike from work, no Hounds, yesterday, first day this year it felt like summer.

    Champlain Mtn is the eastern most peak on MDI, overlooks Frenchman Bay/Gulf of Maine, is named for Samuel de Champlain the French explorer who "found" the island and named it "Mt Desert" purportedly because of the numerous peaks that appeared deserted. That's Bar Harbor and the Porcupine islands in Frenchman Bay.

    Acadia is a very special place that we haven’t been able to visit as much as we like. Hope to change that after the wife retires in a couple years. Thanks for sharing your beautiful pictures DaveGunter. :yes:

    He's 10 and definitely slowing down. How are your two aging?

    I haven't been getting out as much as I used to. Mainly sticking to our own property now days. I had a couple scary run ins with some other dogs/owners. I pick my trails and hike times pretty carefully.
