My wife and I are celebrating our 33rd wedding anniversary today. I will be working. My wife is a teacher so is home now for summer. We are postponing a meal out together until Sunday so we can watch our granddaughter this evening while our daughter and her husband attend a friend's wedding. Needless to say we are feeling blessed by our marriage and growing family.
If you don't mind walking up those stairs, out that pathway, and down around the corner from the big blue and red houses to get to your vehicle, what a spot this is. Talk about so close but yet so far to the city. EXCEPTIONAL VIEW: Hidden Gem in the Battery | Houses for Sale | St. John's | Kijiji
As unique and beautiful as the battery is, I wouldn't want to deal with it in the wintertime. The streets are narrow enough in the summer haha, noting that it was built before vehicles as we know them existed. But I guess people do. I mean seeing the ships right out your window has to be amazing. On another note, We got the green boat out yesterday. Fishing opens tomorrow...
It is Friday! Today and one more week of work to go and then the holidays. It finally rained last night so everything is damp this morning. No gorgeous sunrise happening.
Personal food fishery, mainly cod but several other ground fish can be kept and counted if desired, fairly rarely actually done so)
That's so weird to me. I grew up on the coast in South Carolina. I fished, but nothing had seasons. You could fish and keep anything anytime of year. Talking saltwater here. I have seen tv specials and stuff on the Cod fishery about the fish numbers and how the are today compared to 100 years ago so I can understand that.
They do - they love PI berries. Humans are basically the only animal that gets a reaction from that stuff (I read that on the interwebz, so it must be true)
