7/16 OSB is roughly 46lbs so 2760 lbs just in the OSB. 2x4's are 11 lb each for the 8' and 13lb for the 10'...1490 lb which gives a total of 4250 pounds....thats not that bad, at least not near as bad as i thought it was.

Plus the 600 pounds or whatever the trailer weighs or the sprung weight. Basically the trailer minus the springs sxle and wheels/tires. That weight is carried on the axle so it is included in the total amount. Or basically the trailer sprung weight has to be subtracted from the 3500 weight capacity of the axle.

i intentionally left that part out....750 lbs makes me feel much better than 1500 . in truth i feel kinda bad loading the trailer like that but only because its a single axle. i used to load a 12k dozer on a 7k trailer almost daily when i had my hauling/excavating business.

made a dent in the shelves this weekend but severely misjudged how many screws it was going to take. 7lbs gone to do what little you see. picking up another 40 lbs for next weekend, hopefully thats enough to finish up. AS 007.jpg AS 008.jpg

getting closer. hopefully in the next few weeks we will make the official move. shelving in the parts room is 90% done, shelving in the showroom is up as far as i can go until i start moving inventory, insurance and electricity is taken care of, and new water well is permitted and waiting on funds to cover the actual drilling. had a minor setback on that front......vehicles just arent cooperating....new ramp truck got moved to the front burner and had to get finished because of small hiccup with my superduty.

Guess I'll have to hook up with Dahmer and come check out the shop sometime. Although I like to skate on old wood rink floors also. Congrats on the new shop.

shelves are finished up, trim is all on. took some inventory out there, should have phone/internet/basic cable installed by end of this week or first of next week. yes you read that right....cable....no idea why a business needs cable tv but it was cheaper to get the package that included it than to just get phone/internet.

just a little update. camera system is installed and recording, front door is installed. just need to wrap the drywall into the door jam and put the camera wiring into racetrack down the center wall.

for anyone looking at security camera's....I bought a Swann setup with 8 HD cameras that have motion and heat detection to trigger recording for $319. picture is amazing...i can read the labels on the equipment from 30' away so using them to identify thieves or whatever should be easy plus they have a very wide viewing angle which lead to a minimum of 3 cameras picking a person up no matter where they are in the store and the trip from the front door to the counter is covered by 4 cameras.

plan for now is that weekend of the 6th we are going to move everything out there and be open for business in the new building on Monday July 8th. "Grand opening" and the corresponding sale will probably be first of August.
