We pulled a 24' box trailer through WV a couple weeks ago. It will tow any speed you want. The old truck did pretty good, this truck is amazing! I'm really curious to see what the mileage is towing the camper long distance.
Nice truck Tim. Best product I have found to stop and or prevent rust is Corrosion X. It is used in the aircraft industry and on commercial fishing equipment. There is a thin and a heavy duty thick.
its rated at 350 hp and 650 ft lbs factory. (vs 325/610 for the 5.9) the tuner probably gives it 100 more hp and 200 more ft lbs. ...more than the tranny can handle probably. of course, losing the cat, DPF and disabling the EGR makes a huge difference in performance and milage!
I'd like that, Randy! We are heading down to see Brandon Scott and the Ark Encounter in a couple weeks. I'll be checking fuel mileage on that trip with the camper in tow. We got about 12mpg pulling the big box trailer to WV... except for that one long hill in MD...where my buddy in the Ford thought he was going to pass me... this was the look I got when I went past him . . . . . .
Very true! There is a Chevy 3500 dually running around town with a 10' bed! (not a flatbed either, factory bed...well, not from the factory, but factory style)
I saw Superduty with a 10 or 12' bed on it like you mention. It was stupid looking, like those 6 door trucks.
Nice looking truck. I'm picking up a 2000 super duty with the 7.3 in the morning will be my first diesel.
