nice soaking rain yesterday. Started splitting around 6.40 am. Wanna get something done today for a change. Added a little extra to the table and trying out the new yellow boat bow wheels on the rig. Black rubber ones didn’t cut it. Or maybe they did. Rope cut through one. These are much harder so that won’t happen again.
Ya quit raining here too, it is a lawn mowing day. but we can't stack more than 2 days in a row of no rain. Al
looking good Joe. Yeah, rained like h@#l here as well. River was loud in the ravine. I stopped last week on the way home to check out that ash. Some huge logs. Didnt have saw or time. I doubt ill take any. I have honey holes AND i spied some fresh cut, what i think is locust, in another location. I also stopped at that wood deck in Marlborough Monday morning. One mound hickory, one oak, the other maple and birch.
Just wondering if you asked about the ash. I do t want it I don’t want it I don’t want it. Gotta keep telling myself that They’re still pulling wood out to that deck. The pile near the logging trail was almost gone and I saw it spring back up Sunday when I drove through.
Good for you that the rain has stopped. Now if it would stop here it would make a lot of people happy. I did get a little work done yesterday for a change though and it really seemed good to have some sunshine again. But that is gone once more...
when i got off route 2 Monday morning mother nature was calling real bad so i stopped there. Actually took some pics. The ash was too big and i was looking for smaller rounds just to take as is. I pulled over real quick and looked but did not ask.
Pics are Marlborough tho right? So easy to back the trailer into one of those stacks and just winch em onboard.
Technology strikes again. The battery in my remote died. Guess they aren’t meant to last long. Going back out to work, stack and buck then buy a battery later today. Gotta keepa goin.
