I agree, it's a fine line between getting it done and overdoing it. At a gym, you do the same workout on the same machines with the same weights. With firewood, that chunk of oak you're about to pick up can be + or - 25 lbs. Firewood keeps me in great shape, but I'm always conscious that the tweak in my shoulder or back may be the start of something serious. So, easy does it.
Best advice I can offer is Gatorade. Pound it. May help may not. Partially paralyzed in my left leg for about 20 years now after surgery. Almost had another surgery once. Back was killing me. Leg was going even more numb. Pull on a sock and the toes just roll under the foot. That’s freaky. Get used to a lot of things but when the toes roll under the foot that’s just weird. Fortunately I didn’t end up having the second surgery and the toes got enough life back in them that they dont roll.
Thanks for the well wishes guys. Going this upcoming week to the specialist so I'm gonna do exactly what he tells me to do. This numbness in my leg/feet/toes is very bothersome.
I can DEFINITELY sympathize with you sir. Good luck tomorrow at the therapist. Hopefully you can get some relief. Makes life not so much fun.
Praying for ya. My 16 year old daughter fell at a cheer camp last Sunday. Had surgery on Monday. Herniated, bulged disc .. .no good. My wife has had a couple back surgerys as well. I feel for ya. Best of luck.
