Lots of rain overnight. Needed it to wash away all the pollen.

With the stove projects all done my daughter thought I needed a project so she volunteered me to help at the Salon she works at.

They revamped their pedicure work stations and installed two pedicure chairs.

The original work stations were built in platform type with separate built in tubs.

Too hard for the old ladies to climb up and sit in.

Sooooooooooo.... the Salon owner scares up 3 used chairs from a big Salon over in Portland that updated their outfits (They had like 30 chairs)

She gets 3 used outfits for $100 (for all)

    These suckers are a mess.

New the cost about $3000 each

The son in law did the demolition on the old stations, I came in and we patched the PERGO FLOOR in the area (Pergo and water...bad ju ju)

Then I met the chairs :picard:

    Ill conceived garbage.
One had had the plumbing hacked out and tossed in a box...... Had to reverse engineer the thing to figure out what did what and why.
Then it became obvious that all the sink drains were metric :hair:
The depot was not gonna cut it.
Sadly the entire guts of the plumbing and controls were not neatly mounted and fastened into the chassis. Just strung in and tied up with what looked like bread wrapper twisties..
Hoses laid on the floor along with the various cords that run the pump and other gadgets.

The factory must have gotten a screaming deal on teflon tape, cause they wrapped everything with it.....even the grommet type hose connections on the valve were full of the crap.

Had to make adapters in my machine shop using standard PVC parts and get creative.

    Came out OK
Far better now than it was when new

THE CHAIRS ARE NOT SHOWN...JUST THE BASES I WORKED ON

Looks like they got the right person to work on them - the queen of reverse engineering and making do!

Thanks for the vote of confidence...

The Son in law did the shop remodel and I did the chairs.

    We did our job....

The little lady who owns the shop had been trying to hire it done and got stiffed over and over...

Sad when you can't get a person who does this stuff for a living to even show up...

All we got was a subway sandwich and a thank you.

We did our job... and it feels good to have helped the cause.

X2. Got home from work and the door to the house was wide open. 53* outside, 62* in. Too cold and damp for me.

Well it’s June 13th and the little pellet stove is running. This is a first. Cold, wet, raw.

Near 100 F the past couple days...80 F today and cooler tomorrow

I liked it better last week when we were running the stove a little bit.

Me and hot weather do not get along at all.

70-72 F with puffy white clouds and a cool breeze thank you

I left for work at 4:30 yesterday morning and the house was at 70*. The only windows open were the two with fans in them (fans weren't going). Put in a long day at work and finally got home at 8 pm. It wa 65* in the house and 50 outside so I started up the P43 to get it up to 68*. It ran at least one more time while I was .

I've run the P43 at late as June 28th (low and mid 40's and raining for a couple of days so it wasn't just a "get the chill out" burn). I really don't want to see that happen again!

Ship some of that cool wet over our way.
Been close to 100 F until yesterday when it dropped into the mid 80's F

Much cooler today, but no real rain forecast for anytime soon.

It was 67 F in the house this morning, but I decided not to build even a spot fire, as it will warm up as soon as the morning marine clouds burn off..

Sounding like mid week the weather may take a turn towards cooler and possibly wetter.

Likely be times for a small fire....

Trying to get the grass mowed around here.

Spent about 4 hours on the Mahindra pulling the 3 point mower yesterday, and got a good start on it.

Still got maybe another 3-4 hours on the tractor to get things whacked down around the place...

    Arrrrrrrrrrrgh....
