Ive been putting off stacking this mound of maple (red and sugar) i CS back in Jan/ Feb. from 3 separate scores.
Finally set up some pallets last week and started in. Finished the maple today. The back row is 10-12" red oak shorties mostly from my I hate to cut you short thread.
I then split the red oak from the last honey hole load late this afternoon.

Back side of triple row with 10-12" red oak "shorties". From a February score. Wish i'd cut them to 16"

and after. It was nice and dry and in the shade. I didnt exert enough energy stacking so i split em all.

a few oak chunks that need noodling. Easier to stack and noodle in the heat than split!

In my processing area maybe 22 cord, mostly CSS. At the house up here another 4-5 CS and mostly stacked. At a friends ten minutes away another six CSS. So approx 32-33 cords total.:picard:

Thanks! It was very easy actually. I normally split a few then stack. Theyve been sitting there since HH trip #9 so i went to town on them. I put the gnarly ones aside for noodling.

Yep, going to look at another big blow down tomorrow. If I can get the trailer close I'll cut it up. Can't pass it up when it's there.

Yea, right up till it's -10 outside & T shirt & shorts weather inside. I will then politely make a comment regarding the LP bill that won't be in the mail, while sitting in comfort. That usually squelches any snide comments.
