    It did really happen!
Found three good size Hemlock logs only they are across a ditch that's about eight feet deep .
    100_4731.JPG

Bucked off nine rounds but six made a pickup load .
    100_4732.JPG
Loaded up and ready to go home . This is the first time in eight months that I've been able to go out and play,am I ever out of shape .

The new shows all manage to save the day every week in either 1/2 hour or hour too.
Absolutely amazing how they do that.

Rained most of the overnight hours and it is still raining. It may stop later today but still too wet to do much outside. Tomorrow I and many others from church will be helping our new pastor move into his new home.

EDIT: Sorry, I thought this was posted yesterday but looks like I forgot to hit "Post."

Those are the feeders I hate. The reason is that if the top comes off and the feeder is on the ground, deer can stick their nose in to get food but then can't get out. It really is a sick feeling to find a deer like that. We did several years ago and it was not a pretty sight.

Sounds like something you would do Allan. An 8' deep ditch? Not a problem. Well, it would be a problem for me! And yes we do tend to get out of shape much faster now.

Had a board meeting yesterday and it was all about recycling. Right now it appears we very well may end recycling at the end of this year. The problem is all over the country now. No place to put the stuff and not that many companies to work on recycling stuff so it goes into the landfills anyway. The biggest problem though is people. Many think recycling is a good thing so they just throw any old stuff into the bins. Wrong! And the worst thing is pizza boxes. They are contaminate with food and grease. It is no good for recycling.

And this is why China quit buying from the US. Too much junk mixed in with the good stuff. But how do you educate the public? Most won't read or pay attention when you try to teach.

It was funny too. We have some special drop-off days every summer where people can get rid of stuff like paint and oil and sprays and all sorts of good stuff. This year it is required that people have an appointment before going to the drop-off center. They were notified. One lady was irate as all get out. "Why didn't you notify us?" She was holding the flyer at the time and was then told simply to read the flyer. Her thumb was right by the notice about appointments...but she had read the flier.
