Brother went old school to unstick the Ford 2000

    Memorial Weekend a buddy hung up my Mule. Brother brought the tractor about a mile back in the woods. I mentioned we will get the Mule out easy, but Ed is going to get the tractotr hung up. Sure enough, tha is what happened. We had to leave it in a mud and sand bog, nearly to the frame.

    He pondered how to get it out, and Sunday evening, he applied the old farmer technique. Done! One of my workmates said that method was so common, some tractor wheels were built with chain locations to make it easier.

    Yep, been there done that. Just requires a little care in chain placement & clutch operation. Nice work!

    We did that when I buried my jeep. Got it out of mud that stalled a 8000lb Ramsey winch.

    Believe it or not I've never had a machine stuck...might have momentarily lost traction a time or two though...:whistle: ;) :D
