    Ok, I’m told this is maple but still can’t get a leaf pic. Any thoughts on what kind? They don’t want the big stuff so happy to give to me. No idea if this I’d sugar, swamp, etc

    I'm going to guess sugar. It's not silver, and the rounds don't have rays like red maple does.

    Sugar maple and Norway maple are the best. Splits easy when green.

    I do believe that to be Sugar Maple going by bark & color. Get it if you can. Good heat & fairly quick to season.
