The rain snuck in early. Didn't get the herbicide down. Good news is that it is completely bug free out back after the rain which is rare. Blood sucker genocide: complete.

Yesterday was picture perfect. 80° with no humidity. Today we are going in the opposite direction with a high of 62° and rain and thunderstorms predicted. We did get one spectacularly pleasant Memorial Day.

Long wet cold spring. Few inches of heavy wet snow last night. Lost power this morning, thankfully only an hour, was waiting impatiently for it to come back for water and :coffee: Planned on going to town, but I'll wait til tomorrow so I don't have 20miles of slush. Hopefully see better temps later this week, the Mother's Day flowers are still in the house  after being shuffled in an out throughout the last 2 weeks. Spring is a no show this year, but summer has to come at some time, right?

Your late up there and we're way into summer. Even further past where we should be this time a year.

Was 100f or more every day of the three day weekend. Today and tomorrow as well.

Pic taken on my way home from the lake I think Saturday afternoon. Water surface temp was about 85f. IMG_20190526_182338799.jpg

And right there is plenty enough reason why I don't live in the south. Water temperature at 85 is unreal! We haven't even seen air temperature that high and I hope we don't. We tend to complain about some of the cold and ice or some even complain about the snow but it is easier to put up with than the heat and humidity. It is very humid here now with all the rain day after day that we're getting this year but when the temperature gets to the high 70's or 80's and it is humid, that's not to my liking for sure!

Many things are late this spring and the mosquitoes are not exception. They usually hatch about May 20. Yesterday I noticed several have hatched but it is not bad...yet. The county will be out soon fogging for them which makes summer outdoors easier to live with.

It will get over 90f surface temp. Which for my boat is about 12"s below the surface or so, which is where my transducer is mounted.

Here is one I just took from my truck.

Yes I am sitting still but I was just driving 60mph and literally had just come to a stop when I took that pic. Didn't just jump in my truck and crank it up nor was I sitting there in the sun ideling for 20 mins.[IMG]
