So far just the threat of rain. Most of it is busting up before it reaches us. Might be able to split and stack some wood after all today. Getting very tired of rain every other day and sometimes every day. Haven't seen much dust around here since our GTG.

Same as many others here....clouds, cold and rain off and on all spring.

It is 53f, drizzling and breezy here today. Things are looking up for the weekend.

I heard one of the local meteorologists say the other night that there is a system moving in for next week that is bringing in "March like" weather. Goodness, I hope he is ether speaking in hyperbole, or at least very wrong about that long term forecast!

It hasn't been warm here, but the real concern is the 0.16 inch / 4.0 mm of rain we've got so far this month after a dry winter. Still burning a bit of DED elm.

    Definitely no stove today.
Got up to 88* today and humid. Not ready for this chit.
Severe Thunderstorm Warning are out until 9pm. There is a big cell east of us and I don't know how it will miss us.
Planted cucumber plants and pepper plants today. Way to hot to work in that sun.
Wind is kicking up. We will see if the storm is here after supper. Maybe get the tomatoes in the ground.

Got to 76F here today with some sun even! Planted a couple Roses & mulched the beds. Survived a graduation party & got my equipment ready for tomorrow. Got about 15 Elm & Cherry to drop & buck. All small stuff, nothing over 16". Boiler is shutdown & ready for cleaning. That may happen Monday.

83 and cloudy. Was sunny most most of the day and somewhat humid. Hardwood and pallet scraps plus ash bark in the firepit. My 15 yr old beat up copper pit. Still works good though. Mesquite marinated sirloin tips on the charcoal as i type.:beerbbq: Corn on the cob and baked potato round out the menu!:stirpot:

I'm glad you are taking a break. You can't fight the weather, just wait it out.

We've wonderful weather if you like hot and dry.
Lingering smell of propane and bbq sauce though. Should clear up by midnight tomorrow.
I've been tempted to have an outdoor fire of pine to mask the smell but I've been too busy gardening.

Had a sticky cloudy mid 70's day here with a few showers here. Took out about a dozen small Ash & Elm trees with a Cherry thrown in for my aunt. Wasn't a bad day. 20190526_183952.jpg

2018-2019 heatings now in the record books .
It was a nasty one .. 63,560 lbs equal to a semi and 1/2 of logs . Crazy

No fires in the stove for a few days now. But fortunately we don't have that high heat some folks are getting. Even getting 80's in May is not a good thing for us. I do know I'm really tired of all this danged humidity that we've had for days now. How about you amateur cutter. I'm sure you are not liking it any more than I do.

Pretty sure we're done burning firewood this season.
Bumped up the t-stat this morning for a cycle to get rid of the chill.
Due for rain and t-storms tonight, high of about 60 last time I checked.

I won't say we're done until about a week into June.

I think I had a fire on June 6th about 5-6 years ago. That stuck with me.
