Probably to make a forest for privacy or just a "forest stand" to have one day. Planting fast growing pine species is a quick way to achieve.

I was sweating a bit just sitting in the garage working on the tractor. The floor was sweating too.

Today isn't 80° like yesterday. I will do more cutting on the ash pile in my neighbors front yard, and probably mow my lawn with his tractor. It's supposed to be in the upper 60's. I'll still sweat a lot.

It was almost 100 down here yesterday. Water surface temp in the lake was 85f. Going to hit 100 or be close again today and the next few days.

The 1 hour bluebird box is done. Made with just a circular saw as my shop is not set up. I wrapped an aluminum predator guard on it. Time to monitor it for destructive house finches.:binoculars:

It is set facing a cleared opening with brush and vines underneath. I set it in filtered sunlight in the shade of the aspen grove. There is so much forage out here.

How much acreage did you move to? The pictures make it look like you have a 100 acres.

Just 2 acres. The house and barn are on about a half acre. Woods for the rest. It is plenty enough for me to care for

I hate those things too Jon. I simply do away with them. OSHA would be tearing out their hair by the roots if they were around me much.

I know this weekend is for all the ladies and gentlemen that have given their lives for this great country. I just wanted to thank those who have given their service and are still alive to tell your tale. Thank you very much.

Wow do I need some down time to catch up on this thread. o_O

Been busy as a beaver here lately. Getting all kinds of things done on the house, barn, and property, between the rain days. Got to visit my Father this morning with one of my brothers. And later took my family up to my Mother’s house to do a bunch of spring yard work. My wife and kids pulled weeds and put new mulch down in her gardens, while I cut all her grass with her push mower. A good workout! In the 70s here today. Beautiful.
