What kind of maple?

    Between Red and Silver, I would guess Silver. Have any bark pics?

    Yup!!! I did mine "trying to save them". Nope! They died. You only get 50 to 60 years from a silver maple.

    We have been here for 23 years and they were not small trees when we bought the place. The house was built in the '20s so I figure they are well over 50 years. Sure hope they can be save them. No AC and my mom is amazed how cool the house is with no AC. I attribute that to the shade and would hate to loose them.
