Started new job, working 12 hour overnite shift. 3 on 4 off 4on 3 off. 4 million sq. ft. Facility. Chase temp and humidity and cooling unit alarms. Very different than working on cars and trucks all day. Work tonite then off until Sunday nite. Haven't had 4 consecutive days off in 6 years. Going to the outdoor show with my son Saturday (I think) May ride the bike if rain stops.

I was driving to work in a bit of snow in Deering. Only for a couple of miles, and didn't seem to be sticking - at least it was gone when I came back home tonight!

    What sort of cat ????

    We have a Sphynx cat.
These are a hairless breed, but ours has some short fuzz
The Sphynx are more like a 3 year old child than a cat.

Part cat, part dog, part child and very loyal to their Hooooomans.

Good luck with the new kitty...

Last night I was supposed to go to the monthly LOH meeting. But by noon, I knew I would be working late . Although I could have made it to the meeting, it would have been barely - and I would not have been able to stop at home and take care of the animals. Okay, the cats and birds would not starve to death if they didn't get fed until after the meeting, but I hate to do that. The kicker was that it actually hadn't rained for about 18 hours and the neighbor's place really, really needed mowing. I hadn't gotten to mow yet this year and part of his lawn is in full sun and moist to wet all the time, so it grows thick and tall quickly.

So, I skipped the meeting and got home about 6. Took care of the animals then got the mower out. Got all of the neighbor's place mowed with the blade up as high as it would go. Struggled thru the wet area, but as it was 8-10" high, but got it done. Then I got about 2/3 of my yard mowed (the rest is in enough shade it still doesn't need its first mowing yet).

It's raining now, so I am doubly glad I got the first mowing (of grass) done - it wouldn't have gotten any easier if I'd waited for better weather and I will be out of state Saturday - the next decent day.

This will be my 3rd year of doing so since he has an ill wife and 2 part time jobs. Plus, he doesn't move too well. He is 80 y/o and I am just being helpful and getting some exercise at the same time. Plus, I don't have to look at a veritable yard jungle across the street when I look out my windows :)

Do not know what type of cat,I have(lol he owns me!) a orange and white tabby? He is a bit over 2 years old,so I want some more info from them,as far as easy introduction. They have not answered me back,as yet. Kinda strange,as the shelter is packed. The other local shelter will not consider you unless you are registered/have a vet, and take your current cat/pet in for checkups, at least 3 times a year??? No barn cat rescues in this state.

We're doing well as can be expected. I can't do anywhere close to what I used to, I only try to keep up with myself these days.

OK, wood pellet gal has some tones of North Idaho left over(rare), 240 ton, same as last fall. Her next years price will go up a minimum of 5 bucks, according to her supplier. Might go and grab 1 within next few days, will not be able to put in basement, too much mud/softness in lower yard, but I would be a bit ahead of the game.
