54f and all day rain. Saw a chimney smoking nearby. Not the usual thing here at Mother's Day. But, it's just downright chilly.

Has been 42ºF outside all day.
Had a pine fire this morning which took the chill out this morning but it has been raining all day.
Had to relight this afternoon and Just put a second load of pine and something that looks like poplar in a few minutes ago.

It was a bit chilly in the house when we got home from church this morning so I got a fire going. We went to to eat with friends around 2 and when we got home it was up to 82 in the living room. No more wood in the fire for today.

Northern border what? Snowed here at elevation in the Berkshires. Nothing stuck here but I've seen a few cars drive by with a layer on the roof. Surprised you guys didn't get half a foot in the NEK and the whites! :) Don't think we topped 40 here today. Feels a lot colder now than 40 in January!

Pine and Sugar keeping the ladies warm.

50 & damp here. I had moved all the wood from under cover on the patio to the uncovered stacks yesterday. Had about 4 or 5 dry splits in the wood box. Dug down into the piles and have some drying by the stove I just started. Was planning on just running the boiler but you all now how that is for a firewood hoarder.

45F cloudy & damp with on & off rain since about March 1, or at least seems like it. Been below normal temps since October I think. I'd much rather have 20 & sunny than this dank damp gray cold. Hauled home a load of dead dry Ash yesterday & stacked it next to the boiler. It's keeping the place warm, but I'd really like to shut down soon.

It’s a balmy 45 and cloudy but not raining at least. I think we’re stuck in March too amateur cutter. Had a fire last night, definitely will tomorrow with snow flying :headbang: Looking like 1-3” for Canadian border VT and Well Seasoned. Record cold highs across the region tomorrow. It’s been a strange spring to so far. I still think we’ll make the jump into summer virtually overnight when it happens. Spring and fall are seasons of the past it seems.:picard:

42° and sunny now, but there's a big black cloud mass to the west of us. I've been bringing in wood from the shed, wood that I had planned to burn over the winter. At least the shed is getting emptied.
Lots of things to do outside, lawn mowing etc, but I'm toying with the idea of going for this mulberry...
