Put 57 hard and fast miles on the 300ex today to get back in the saddle. Lots of jumping, sliding, and mudding. I am definitely going to feel this tomorrow!
It was a blast yesterday for sure however when I rolled out of bed at 4:30am to go turkey hunting it sure didn't feel good!
Nice! Always a blast to go down there! How far from Wayne are you? We used to go down there a lot and we would also do the Rumble on the Ridge ride in Adenia Ohio. That was either a 31 or 33 mile loop. All one way. 5,000 riders coverage on that small town and take over for 2 days. Here is our rides. My son rides the 300ex (awesome machine), the 400ex (440 big bore) is mine, and the 400 Big Bear is the work horse.
Dex, I am only about 15 minutes from the Dorr Run trail head, so not real far at all. You should come down sometime and ride! Both your 300ex and 400 ex are great looking sport quads. I used to have a 400ex which I loved! I sold it for a 450R and hated that bike. The 450R was just to twitchy and loaded up pretty bad if you tried to just ride it easy. I even changed out the sprockets to help with the issue but I much preferred my 400EX . I rode with 6 guys on Saturday and even though I had the smallest bike I kept up with them on everything but a wide open straight spot. I am hoping the 300 will eventually be my daughters some day and I can move back up to something like my 400 but for right now her 90 is more than enough. for her. I got a smoking deal on her 90 Kymco. It's a 2007 and had maybe been ridden a dozen times and the guys son hated it so it set in his garage for a couple of years without running. I got him down to $500 on it and it only took about a 1/2 hour to clean the carb and have it running great. She loves the thing and rides it all the time. Just as a disclaimer she always rides with a helmet and was just posing for the picture.
Certified, Did you get to ride that Z400 in your pic? They built scads of them so they can be had cheap. Lots more poop than a 400 EX but very trail friendly. Article Cat, Kawasaki, and Suzuki all sold them under different model numbers and plastic but they are the same bike. Z400, KFX400, and the DVX400 all the same.
No I haven't ridden it yet. There was a group of 6 of us that went riding and that was my friends quad. He offered to let me try it but I don't want to make myself to unhappy with the 30o yet.
