I feel for you. It is never easy to lose a pet or have to put one down. It is a heartbreaker.

Sorry for your pet troubles. They mean so much to us, and when things go bad, it hurts.

I’ve heard of that. That’s why shotgun season is usually better. A head shot is the only thing that will almost always take them down. As far as the Judo point doing the job, I’m going to investigate. I had been told or read somewhere that it is used and is successful. Also, it could be I’m mixing it up with rabbit hunting. I’m gettin' older and the recall just isn’t what it used to be.

    Happy Birthday schlot.

Marshel54, sorry to hear about the pets.

Our day for the most part went well. We still have a delay on closing, but the seller is letting us move in.

On our way back home, we got rear-ended in my wife's truck. We are mostly ok, some soreness. The driver that hit us has worse damage.

After the paper exchange and police let us go on our way, we head home. We get home and my truck is parked out in front of the house. There is oil in the street and my drivers side wheel is sideways.

Turns out a guy sped up our street, crossed the center clipped my truck, hit our trash barrels, hit a wall and drove over the neighbors basketball hoop up the street. 2 trucks damaged in 2 hours, one out of commission and most likely will be totaled.

I'm sitting here laughing a little about it. Maybe I should play a lottery ticket tonight.

That is bananas, sorry  Is the speeding guy accounted for? Hope he was insured?
I think you should buy a lottery ticket.

Ouch! Life was trying hard to get you today. At least the second truck-mashing guy didn't plow into "your" house. That might have complicated the closing!

Let's just say he is getting free accomodations courtesy of the taxpayers for the weekend. Won't know about his insurance until Monday. My agent will be shocked with me filing a two-fer claim Monday.

My son did manage a shelter in an hour. He will get a firepit out front.

I think my truck is done for. I tried to move it and trans fluid dumped out underneath it, muffler behind cat broke.

My neighbor witnessed the accident and after the driver hit my truck he was up on two passenger wheels up to the wall. Crazy stuff.

I need a pickup truck anyways, so maybe this was a sign to get one.

Hey Mark, have you had any luck with sleeping? Afraid I am a bit similar, when I have worries my sleep disappears.

Sometimes all you can do is laugh about it. Glad to hear the rear-ended wasn't worse and your family weren't hurt in the other collision. Good thing you weren't trying to load the truck or be anywhere near it when it was hit. That could have been really bad. I hope the day goes better tomorrow.

Submitted retirement paperwork of sorts. Once it is submitted, I cant back out. The upside is, I work three more years, but I receive my pension during that time. Is will be in a lump sum at the end of the three years, but I cant change my mind.

Came home to cut and split an oak tree top. Smaller branches, that I want to begin seasoning now, for fireplace burning.

Will travel to the tree farm tomorrow. Have a meeting with the district forester monday.

Do recall anarchy Friday's with Jamie Frosty and Frank in the 1990's? Morning talk show, maybe 105.9 or 106.7? Definitely not 97.3 or 102.5. Crud, I really miss KBCO, lost it in the early 90's except when I went south.
