I’m sick of cleaning my gutters 3 times a year, time for some gutter guards. Did a little research and it sounds like a heavier duty metal with a finer mesh or smaller holes are the best option. Looks like there really easy to install. Any body with suggestions on brands or types and installation tips is greatly appreciated!! Thanks in advance
I gave in and when doing all the work on our house, I had the contractor put in leaf guard gutters. It's only been a few weeks, but I should be free from having to clean out gutters.
I like the ones with the holes and a screen. For the most part all that gets thru is shingle sand, airborne dirt, pollen and maybe a lucky pine needle or two. Which for the most part usually gets rinsed out with subsequent rain. I've had some that rivet on and drilling out rivets and re-riveting is not fun, especially up on a ladder. (SS) Screws-good. Rivets-NG.
Best are called...Real Gutter Guards. 4 foot aluminum with holes designed for either spike and ferrel or hidden hanger installation installed quick with a zip screw. Brown or white.
We sell them at our building supply store. I'm headed in this morning and will see who makes them. Otherwise ship to you
