It’s just 1/4inch plate I got from a scrap yard. Should be strong enough for my needs. Mostly cutting cedars that have taken over.
If it’s not hard enough I can always work harden it by heating it and quenching with oil.

Back at it again today. Gotta gather them sticks while I can. As is the trend, we will likely be under a cutting ban come forest fire season. Pretty fortunate to be able to spend a Saturday morning out in the mountains doing stuff like this.

I think it's the best thing stihl has had smokin for a while.

We've used a half wrap model for a while now with a 24" bar and it's been perfect, it rips pretty good with just a muffler mod.

Hey Breechlock, Did you ever find a filter setup? I'm looking to replace my nylon mesh filter for something that will work for milling.

Upgraded the 5020 with a 16" and LGX chain. Ripping better than ever.
Opinions on prolite vs power match? I was torn between the two.

Exploded view of the 394XP CL score.
Nothing major needed that I can tell.
Replacing fuel line and filter, tank vent, soft parts on the carb and adding some throttle parts that weren’t there at purchase. And cleaning out the creases.
