It was warm in the mid 70's but I wanted to get this ash home before I gave it up. I have about a cord and a half to split and stack yet.
Heading to the bed, but to answer that buZZsaw BRAD . Black Betty is still giving me headaches. I am just about to give up on her......almost.
i remember the last time you posted pics with her Locust Post what you had gone through to fix her. Even though ive only been a FHC member for three months, she has become the iconic old Ford on the forum for me. I hope she survives! Keep us posted!
LP and I are about 45 minutes apart, but here there has been very little field work done until today...neighbor worked some ground today...and hauled some manure
The farms around where I live and cut have worked a lot already. Some of the low ground is a bit wet at times but a lot has been workable.
I hate to give up on her but she has let me down numerous times when I thought I was to the end of my repair dilemma. I am gun shy as the dikins to take her anywhere.
I hear ya Locust Post . My 2001 F150 (bought new in 2001) was slowly dying in 2017 and i was feeling the same. Auto repair is not my thing and she finally died in my driveway October 2017. Too much $$$ to fix so i junked and bought the used 2008 for $3900. The price they want for a base model F150 (no 4WD) is ridiculous IMO.
Very, very doubtful. I actually think I may disappoint a fellow from church that is going to be clearing trees for a garage if he cannot wait until cool weather. I just really hate to cut in the heat. If I was not so far ahead I would suffer through it. I just took some measurements and I will see where the hoard stands shortly.
Close as I can figure I burnt 4.5 cords this winter and I will be at 22.5 starting into winter. 5 years worth.
