I have a John Deere 530 garden tractor with a 15cf trailer. It works great for hauling wood and even dragging smaller trees out of the brushy areas of the woods. DSC01503.JPG DSC01967.JPG

I like that one. I'm thinking the s240 may fit the bill. For the size lawn, it should be fine. It is a pretty flat lot, no real hills or inclines. I think the dealer said a snowblower would be iffy for anything deep or wet. The 300 series starts getting up in price and funds need to go towards the house but I have some allocated for a small lawn tractor.

I believe it has a Kawasaki v twin. If not then I will check the 300 series. I would like a Kaw under the hood.

leoht, I hope you have enough time for all you want before you have to leave. I just worry that it is a long drive to LA and you are on a time limit.

Good that you take over the driving around the city! Don't let Dad get out of hand. lol We surely were sorry to see you leave. I'd liked to have a week to visit. Maybe we'll have to head to Aussie country?!

Beetle-Kill , WWW recognized the brands, said they are pretty common. He said if it were him he would sell them individually on ebay or other for someone looking to replace a certain iron for their set. I ended up with whats left of my childhood silverware set, nothing special about them except I love the size & weight, they get $5 a pop per spoon or fork on ebay.
Hmm, banging bins for outting stuff, I'll have to look into that. J/K clemcorrect ;)

    Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm sorry about your Ky house. Will you be selling it? I unfortunately understand too well what it's like to lose being able to do things. That said, you won't be worrying about what needs to be done there, which is vicious circle in my head too often. Instead you can be strategizing crappie attacks :handshake:

Realtor is coming as soon as I get home. Painting inside is almost finished. New carpet goes in the bedrooms shortly. Then I have to stain the whole house. Cedar siding. Highly desirable property that should sell quickly. At least gonna make a deal with the buyers to harvest my garden this year.

Brandon, good luck in your new home. It looks great and should make things easier on you. I understand what you are going through. I was just saying to my wife yesterday about how much longer we will be able to keep up with the house. I have Psoriatic Arthritis and I can only do about a tenth of what I was able to before. It sucks, but it’s better than the alternative.

Same exact thing I have. 18 acres is just too much. I can’t even walk down to my lake and fish. Psoriatic is excruciatingly painful. I really don’t think my friends understand. I would say I’m at a tenth of mobility also. Got really bad in just 6 months. I am going to have a boat designed with a ramp on the front in case I move to a walker or chair. I can at least fish. All I need to hold is a cane pole. The boat will stay in a slip full time so I don’t have to put it in and out.

While surfing FHC now I heard a noise, looked outside and saw some more work. I guess this is the safe way to drop trees. It is raining and quite windy today. It may have to wait until Friday. It was a dead standing elm, not standing anymore. DSC03481.JPG

Sad day in the neighborhood today. Working out of state until Friday, wife called and said our daughter didn't have school today whole senior class was cancelled for the day. One of the senior boys took his own life last night. Daughter knew him but not really friends. She told me his name and I've wondered all day if it was someone I grew up with kids. Sure enough it is, his dad was a couple years ahead of me in school. Just have to wonder what the f#&@ goes through these kids heads. This makes 2 this school year. We are not a big school barely 500 students for high school.

I am very sorry to hear that sad news tree killer.

My wife and I just got in from visiting our daughter, son-in-law and our 1 month old granddaughter. I brought over some food to cook us all dinner.
