72*F on Friday, 5" of snow yesterday, and a sunny 53*F now. All the snow melted by about 1:00pm. Got home from my retriever club training day and swept the chimney. 1.5 cups of coffee and some ash. Didn't take a picture; because it would've looked just like the last few years. I only sweep after the burning season. All is good!!
We would've had about 7-8"; but a little lull in the snow early afternoon let what came down in the morning mostly melt. It never stopped snowing all day, it just lightened up for a couple hours.
Forgot to mention this in my OP........................the baffle board in my 13 still looks great. It gets a lot of ash on the top side during the burning season; so that probably actually helps in keeping the heat in the box. The bottom side is fine also. The whole thing has a minuscule warp to it, but I'm not worried about it, as the stove runs great.
