Season's Greetings everyone! Thanks to everyone from the FHC for stopping by our LogOX booths to say Hi during trade shows again this year, like the Paul Bunyan Show in OH, Woodsmen's Day's at Tupper Lake NY, and the Homesteaders of America Conference in VA to name a few. It's always great to meet you folks!

FHC member "Shack" recently asked us over on the LogOX thread what our company was up to these days. So I figured I'd start a new thread to let you all know about a new product we've spent a lot of time this year developing, getting patented, and are now launching in Kickstarter, the WoodOX Sling.

As you can see above, the WoodOX Sling replaces the ol' two handled firewood carrying bag with a new design that evenly distributes the firewood's weight across the body, taking the usual pressure points of a traditional bag off your back, shoulders, and arms, while balancing the remaining weight securely on your hip. This unique design allows you to load and unload while standing more upright, and move through your house (especially up stairs) much easier. We even added a replaceable LED Flashlight to the sleeve for good measure!

We decided to fund this project with Kickstarter. Our goal with crowd funding the project is to ramp up production here in the USA, and make the back saving WoodOX Sling available to as many people as possible. If you think its something you'd use, please consider backing us HERE and sharing it with your wood burning friends and family. We appreciate your support!

We sent fellow FHC Member and no stranger to BTUs, Eric from YouTube's "Life in Farmland" channel a WoodOX Sling to test out. He did really detailed product review video on it you can see here

As always, I'd be happy to answer any questions in the thread or at [email protected]

We saw that episode earlier today. I would be curious to try one myself, but I think that thing might seem like a toy to a big man like me.

I'm considering one, more for my wife than myself. At any rate looks like a helpful tool!

    Welcome aboard, Log Ox!

If you move firewood indoors from a pile I think you'd like it. We designed it with a pretty generous adjustable padded strap to fit just about anyone comfortably. I'm the guy in that GIF above, at 6'3 235 lbs. it works great for me, in fact the bigger your wing span the more you could fit in it, unlike a standard bag or tote.

Thanks for saying so Scotty. I'm sure she'll certainly appreciate using it. It's one of those tools where if you use it once you'll never want to work without it again!

We mainly haul it up from the basement, low ceilings. You're a bit smaller than me :p

Big question is, will there be any Black Friday sales?
I told my wife I want a round handler and scabbard

    Hi Sourwood,
We're launching it as a Kickstarter campaign, so all of the pledge packages are discounted compared to what the MSRP will be once it's in full production. We still have some early bird specials available here for $52 per WoodOX Sling, which is 25% off what it will be in stores. We also have some packages available where we bundle it with a LogOX 3-in-1 Forestry MultiTool and save you money on both items.
Given the goal in your signature block, I'd say it's definitely a product you'd appreciate lol.

I feel you there big fella, we stack some of our firewood out on the front porch, but once that runs out we have to start hauling it up from our stack outside the basement. One of my favorite things about the WoodOX Sling is that by repositioning the wood under your arm, not only are you walking more upright, but you no longer have a heavy firewood bag knocking against the side of your legs as you're climbing up the stairs. This is especially handy if you have a narrow staircase.

Bag is perfect for getting my super seasoned fireplace wood from my shop to the house. Boiler wood is next to the boiler so not practical there.

    Hi Everyone,

Just a quick update, the WoodOX Sling firewood carrier is now available for sale on our website, Amazon, Bailey's Online, Hud-Son Forest Equipment, and in Europe with more vendors in the works. We also have a unique adjustable hearth side firewood holder in the product development process here at LogOX, which will be coming soon to our website. Thanks to all our fellow firewood hoarders for all your support with bringing the world's most ergonomic firewood carrier from concept to market!

Recently was recommended this sling by another member here. I carry roughly 4-5 cords per season from where it's thrown into my basement to where my add-on woodstove sits. Probably 15-20'. In the past I gripped 2 pieces, one in each hand, to get it moved, was never a fan of stacking it up on one arm. The LogOX Sling works excellent! It will be used regularly.
