Prices TEND to be at their lowest to us in Spring, and they tend to walk up in price all summer long into Fall. Now thats not to say that sometimes there isn't an aberration in price, but in a quarter of a century of selling pellets, and many brands of pellets in that time frame, I think I can count those occasions on one hand. They happen, but its pretty rare. I would have to guess that any "Summer Specials" would be based upon the summer pricing at the time, and would likely not be lower than Spring pricing....we have had occaisions in the past where some retailer comes out with ultra low pricing in summer (anyone remember the Connecticut New England Wood Pellet retailer who $screwed everyone over awhile ago?)

I definitely am lucky then. The only spring dump I was part of was a season change at Lowe's where they had 20% off DFs. Thought it was a great deal until I found another supplier which sells them at that price all the time with monthly or bi-monthly sales. On special occasions I can get them 25% off our normal low Western prices. Transportation costs and middle man markups I suppose for you folks out there. Gotta make it worth your time. Having said that, I have not been pricing out here since December.

I received an e-mail today from SIB Woodpellet Warehouse. His spring pricing will be out May 8th. I did notice on his website that he's selling the Wood & Sons pellets for $289. It will be interesting to see if the price on those pellets are any lower during Spring Buy!

Not much of a spring buy here
309 a ton for Cubix is about the best for good pellets
Of coarse that's Canadian in USD around 225
But we have to add Harmonized sales tax 13%
That's for Mr Trudeau and Doug the slug Ford

His spring prices came out today. It looks like $15 more than last year. $239 for MWP, $294 for Lacrete and Cubex. The Woods & Sons are $279. I didn't pay attention to his other brands.

Yes sir! A couple of FHC pigs convinced me to try something other than Vermont's this year. I think I will be happy with the choices.

the one unknown here (well, maybe not the one unknown), is that we don't know what pricing and availability will be this fall......could this be one of those "I shoulda done something in the Spring..." moments?

I am thinking of doing blazers again, I loved the burn and ash, was a big burner of same 10 plus years ago. For a few bucks more a cleaner stove and it threw out the heat on level 2 that VT's did on 3 in my stove. Not a big burner as I also use dino and sun. May consider Matra also.

Do you have Blazers available near you? They went out of business a couple of years ago.

Robbins (store around here) still sells them, so some mill is still bagging and selling under the Blazers name...
