Thanks walt ! The family had a hog farm between Marengo and Chesterville years ago. Last time I was there was 1975 when I got out of the service.
Congrats Reloader on having to drink a beer whenever your heart desires. I have 111 months and a few days (9.2 years), but whose counting? I graduated high school from Mt Pleasant, SC. Live on Isle of Palms, Hugo was tough on my senior year. My dad was transfer to Charleston for a rebuild/retool at the Alumax (Alcoa) aluminum plant. I transferred in for my senior year just before Hugo, lucky with all the credits to graduate. My school was the only high school not destroyed, all but one building made it, admin. There was 3-4 high schools now at my school. I was able to get my previous school to forward my records. I had a work release from school my only requirement was every Friday I had to bring my pay stub to the principals office. I had a great senior year. My job was I worked for the town of Isle of Palms, I drive a f350 with a gooseneck dump. We cleaned the storm debris up. I ran chainsaws cutting debris to a more manageable size to be loaded, cut storm damaged trees down. Loaded the truck with a skidsteer. I had the truck, trailer, bobcat, started each day where I had left off. They wanted 4 weight tickets a day from the landfill. Was a great paying high school job, they started me @$15 and when I left was @$21. I could usually get 5-6 load a day. Having a adult job as a senior was most likely the best education a high schooler could have.
"BIG" change for you from South Carolina to Alaska!!! I lived in Hanahan, I'm sure you remember that area. I went over to the Isle of palms, "usually" to drink and chase, ahhhhhhhhh...... Seagulls.... Yeah, those things!
I I do, sounds like volleyball games at the Wind Jammer and a evening on Sullivan’s Island @ Sullies.
I would correct your spelling to "passed" but then I'd have to have on my Grammar Nazi uniform, and I sent that out with my Anarchist uniform for dry cleaning.
Still have no idea what I'd like to do in retirement. But it won't involve sucking You old farts can carry on.
Oh well, at least I "passed" gas in the past, from all that Beer I drank, had drunk or had been drinking so my belly didn't hurt!
Mom had a saying.. "Better to pass the gas and bear the shame, than to hold the gas and bear the pain."
"Why fart and waste it when you can burp and taste it?" …………………… And...…… I guess we are all guilty of a little teensy bit of derailing now and then....right?
Isn't farting part of retirement too? Now I can do it anytime! I used to "crop dust" a certain professors office at the Academy because she was "miserable" to everyone and thought she was better than everyone else! I'd go in and say hi quickly and leave like a jet!
It finally got here. First day of the rest of my life. I'll be in the greenhouse, in the garden...playing in the water, in my shop building stuff....or on the road...on my bike.
