I'm not looking for it, I'm giving it away.

Put an add on craigslist and found someone who will take 10-20 cords of my "trash" wood for firewood.

In the land of Hickory, Sugar Maple and Ironwood this stuff is garbage.

Picture of what I have piled up so far for pick-up, 3-4 cords?

the 2 White oak logs on the left side are going for lumber, silly to waste them for firewood.
the pile on the right in the back ground is what I'm keep for myself, the good stuff, Hickory, Sugar Maple and Ironwood.

More in the woods blown over from storm and about 2 dozen logs ready to haul out.
You can see the fresh cut stumps from the blown over trees. Cut up about 1 1/2 dozen trees in this little area Maybe 1/2 acre that were blown over.

I'm leaving all the leaners in the woods where they stand, Mother Nature will knock them down in her own sweet time.

    More leaners

And the last of the trees to cut up in this area.
I have 2 more areas with about 10 times the amount of stuff on the ground already that I'd like to get rid of just to clean up the woods so you can walk thru them rather than climb over and under logs to get around.

My stove will burn anything. It does not know a pedigree.

Very generous of you for giving that away. Someone will be very happy to get it and even if most of it is popple, it will still burn and can make good daytime fires.

Another thought for that wood is a cutting bee & give to needy folks. We've got a few dozen people from church that get together & do this from time to time. As OhioStihl said, it's btus for someone that has none. Well done sir!

Yup. I doubt an elderly person who is in need of heat in the winter will ask, “But how many BTUs does it show on the chart?”

Thats a capital idea. I've never heard of anything like that in my area but I will look into it.
I have lots of firewood. I would be willing to donate some that I'd even split for a truly needy person/family.
