I have been shopping for a good price for a reciprocating saw, to prune branches on tree tops I am cutting up. Saw Harbor Freight had a Chicago Electric unit for fifty bucks with disclaimer that battery was not included, and in store only. I checked that my HF impact gun was the same brand with compatible battery. My brother was at a town today that had a store. Texted me that he had good and bad news- Closing out the saw for five dollars! Bad news- batteries are discontinued. Not a problem. Great buy for me!
You should be able to find an aftermarket battery maker that makes batteries for that saw. Check online and see.
