haven't burned any pellets in past 10 days due to warmer days/nights.
had to throw a bag in today as it is pretty chilly around here and will be tonite..:startled:

Yeah considered closing the stove last week but figured I'd give it another week or so, just had a gut feeling we would get some stove weather yet. Glad I waited now.

Same here, I actually went out and bought a few bags to get through yesterdays cold and damp weather.

can't speak for everyone here but yes..
vacuum the whole inside, blow out the exhaust, spray the burnpot with Pam cooking spray to stop any rust,
drop a box of damprid inside[same rust reasons] and put it to sleep till October.

have heard people here who leave the ash in the stove all summer as they say it stops rust??
don't know about that but to each his own.

Still burning. Another in a line of dark, raw, damp days that has been the entire spring (except there were like 2 days in April that were sunny).

The storm stayed south of us for a change. High clouds with occasional sun. I was in a t-shirt for a while. Mid to high 60's.

I kept waiting for my stove to kick on.
I put it on room temp a while back.
    Something I rarely do.
I use NG when the temps are so-so..
The thing would just not start on it's own...
So now I know. They will not start on their own
when there are no pellets in the hopper...

Probably every Pellet Burner has don that. Hard to keep in the habit when they don't fire very often.

Stove is all cleaned and shutdown. If I need any heat from here on out I will turn on the baseboard heaters.

My stove burns year round. 365, usually 24/7. It is what it is.
