    Deck fell off at ~5 hours...that almost sounds like a dealer prep issue? (or maybe that is what you were saying...)

    Not at all. Factory assembly. We check level. Not bolt torque on everything. ( Its obviously on the radar now for our uncrating procedures) We sell a boatload of exmarks....this was a first. They are almost always level straight outta the crate.

    Fwiw, If it was our mistake I would totally admit it. We are all human.

    I suppose I will have to put the 6ft belly mower on the tractor shortly- if i can find all the parts.

    Fs91r. First tank of gas that I personally put in this trimmer for the customer. Pretty much going with a bad cast on the piston that let go of the pin on one side and twisted the rod. Also sheared the flywheel key. This is also a first.....never seen this out of multiple semi loads of these things Ive sold in the past year.

    I've never seen that particular failure on any piston ever before! :eek:

    Such as it is with cast parts. While the reliability is extremely high once the process is refined, any given piece on the line *could* contain a unique flaw.

    The diagnosis is in......wore the lobes off the cam. New engine installed today provided by kohler.
