None of our children will be around this year, so 99 announced she would like to visit a donation center (more commonly known as a casino). She likes the one in Hayward Wi, so off we go! After Mass, of course! The restaurant there has a prime rib buffet, so...….. What are your plans for Easter?
Easter dinner tonight with our now 8 month old grand daughter in attendance. Hence tomorrow will be a little more laid back, no big cooking mess to deal with after church. Happy Easter to all.
Local grocery had Cornish hens on sale, so wife grabbed some and suggested we have those on Sunday. SisIL may come over to help make those go away. Never had 'em, so this should be interesting. Might split some more Boxelder too.
My favorite holiday!!!! Church breakfast at 9:30am (after 8:45am Praise Team practice) My wife makes some of the best cinnamon rolls - it is a tradition. We'll see if they last long enough at church for me to get one. After service we are having lasagna at my sister's hobby farm. My wife is making one of the lasagnas now. I was told of a church service at 6:30am tomorrow. I might even go to that!
Church tonight (they ask some of the regulars to come to Saturday night service to make room for all the visitors (or the "C n E" crowd) tomorrow morning...then dinner with the fam at my sisters place tomorrow night.
Yup, I've gotcha! "Hatch, match, and dispatch" congregation! Too bad, they don't know what they're missing!
Work in morning. Will throw a ham in crock before I leave. Will stop and grab some more vittles on way home. Eat with the Fam and back to work. Lil woman has been slowly moving. I think we'll be sleeping at other house by mid week and eventually moving rest of stuff over time. She's on mandatory overtime . I've been working non stop for a month and the daughter has been working 5 reg shifts and doubles on weekends. What a flustercluck in the middle of moving. She told me before she tipped over in bed tonight she doesn't even feel like doing Easter. I told her it will get done amongst the chaos. Planning simple ham/Swiss and horseradish sandwiches ,potato salad , raw veggie tray and snacks.
Get up early, work on the meal we are hosting, then off to church to celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, then Easter meal with our children, son-in-law, grand daughter, my wife's parents, her sister, brother-in-law, her brother, and her aunt. I love Easter!
Work 12 hr shift (7am-7pm) and them come home. Our son in law bday is tomorrow, so hunny is cooking up some vittles...cube pork steak, corn on cob, Mac and cheese, green beans, carrots and garlic bread. Caramel cake from our bake sale this morning.
Breakfast at church, then the Easter Service, then of to the inlaws for lunch. gonna be a great day. Thank you Jesus!
Three services at church tomorrow, vs our usual two. We'll go to the first, return home and putter around a little while, then go join our daughter for lunch.
Attended Easter Vigil services on Sat evening and really enjoyed it! For it being known as an extremely long service, it had a very good sized crowd in attendance also. 99 got her casino on today and got ahead of the game today. Yeah, I know, almost blasphemous to casino on Easter Sunday...……...
I guess I didn't type well enough. The service was on Sat evening. We did the Easter drive/buffet today. Actually, it enabled us to leave a bit earlier as the drive was a bit long.....
Went home for Sunrise service... ate breaksfast at Church... Then ate mom homecooked meal...Then turned around and ate desert of pumpkin pie, cherry cheese cake, and icecream... had a good day...
Easter was a warm one this year. Topped out at 85F making it the second warmest Easter on record for here.
