Ya, I assumed it was a Stihl, but there must be a story behind it why it has Ryobi stickers on it?

Everyone knows that pawn shops only pay big on Stihl and Husqvarna lol
    I'm running a 14" on the 241 and 12" on the Makita.
I like the control that a short bar gives and the bulk of the stuff that I've been cutting is 10" and down .
You won't save much time with a bigger saw in the "shubs" that I cut , just tired out sooner .

So, he dropped it off here as it didn’t run . Had a bad iso. mount ,Needed a good cleaning , and the carb is waiting for a rebuild kit to arrive here . Came with 2 bars ( one needed to be trued ,and de-burred ) ,3 new chains ,and two that needed a bit of work . Gonna cost him the princely sum of $10 to get it running . Some folks are just lucky like that ...

My husband's friend picked this up at his town dump. It runs, but he cut into a stump that was hollow in the middle and had some road gravel in it. My husband is going to work on the chain for him. IMG_20190409_14992.jpg IMG_20190409_26853.jpg

Picked this one up recently. Bone dry in the tanks and preserved under a layer of grime and dust. No experience with this series, but it runs well with nothing more than a fresh drink. Gotta like that.

Does that have a rear facing cylinder? I’ve never seen one. It almost looks like an old echo EVL

I see these on CL all the time. A friend at work couldn’t get it started this weekend so I asked him if I could take look. Plug was bone dry. Not sure it was fully choked. Idles, oils and cuts.

It does wear some of the early 80's VL/EVL stylings. Profile of the front case, top air box cover, horizontal cylinder, colour etc. Reed valve setup on the Stihl though. I imagine it might have some of the famous Echo torque. One thing immediately apparent was the superior Echo oil pump designs used on all their saws. The impulse oiler on the Stihl is weak. Heck, the diminutive CS-302 can make a 28" slobber.

Got a good deal on a strong running Dolmar PS 7300 H this week. My first Dolly and a nice compliment to my Stihl 260 Pro Arctic and 036 Pro.

A pic with my son's MS 170 to show a friend the size comparison.

Very good deal on this. Hardly ever do I pay more than a c note for a used saw, this one I had to see.
Came with the unused 36” bar.
    One home owner saw.

Dead man throttle switch is missing, kill switch is works but is physically broken and at 150 lbs and the piston looks good, a new pair of rings. New chains too. Looking for suggestions on the 36”

I should run a compression check on my 372 just for the heck of it. It feels good and have no reason for concern, just curious. What is the protocol, how many pulls on the rope
