    Believe it or not I've gone around Chicago from the north and also through Chicago and the one through is shorter and made it quicker and a whole lot less tolls. I don't remember if you'll get to Chicago from the west or north though. Good luck. Once you are in Indiana, the going is better. Caution though when you hit MI they seem to patrol that road a lot and also seem to pull many over. Not me though.

    Turn onto I-69 to US-127 then north to M-57, then east. Hopefully they have not started the new construction on M-57 but if I see they have, I'll send some different directions. Please remind me.

    Work today, but I went to a job site that was quiet and away from the office drama. It was a good way to set the tone for the weekend. Lots of things to plan out the next few weeks and the quietness was appreciated.

    Restocked my empty wood shed this week. This eliminated wood from the controversial drive. Not for long. I'm itching to fill my newfound free time and the drive to 6 feet....my commentary on neighborliness.

    Nice weather, tomorrow will be good also. Dawgs are on edge, something's up outside. Turned on the motion sensors. I agree with the dawgs, it feels "bear-ish".

    No green up going on here. Just white and brown for landscape colors. Birds might be singing by now, but the ground is a little stiff (again) this morning for the robins breakfast.

    Probably head out to the cottage and install the front hitch on the utv…? Find out when mama bear wakes up!
