To bring this back to the whole dentist problem. I had to go in to see the dentist, yep I need my first root canal...

The assistant that actually drilled the tooth when they put a filling in it 15 years ago was there. Her comment was I gave you 12 shots of Novocaine and you still didn't go numb I'm not assisting

Love the dentist office so much I married my hygienist.

 

How much did that get you in $? I heard scrap steel prices are not good now.

I'll be scrapping a few hundred lbs of mostly steel soon. Regardless of the price, I'll be getting rid of it asap.

 

A former coworker scraps on the side...I stopped by to see what he wanted for some sheet metal I spyed that had woodpile cover written all over it...he said take it...cheaper to give it away than haul it in!

Me been stupid busy with work and my girls with track. Name is still on the calendar for May 3rd. Hoping to leave here by 5a.m. at the latest. Chicago traffic will be my worse obstacle.

 

That's not as bad as I thought.

 

Ralphie piled it up, I lit it. The logs are ash trees that fell over and are just garbage and not worth cutting. 30 mph wind kept this one glowing all day. Heavy rain last night and it’s still glowing.

Hello hoarders. Sounds like there is a buttload of those who have Good Friday off today; but even more that don't have it off. I would always take a 1/2 day off to attend services.

Got the front receiver hitch for the UTV yesterday.... probably end up installing that on Sat.

This morning, another insulation estimate for this old house (hey...great name for a tv show, no?) Can't remember if I told 99 or not, but he'll be here early....during her sleep time. She's gonna have to wake up earlier today! Could be a fun morning...…

 

I have today off only because I get every other Friday off, and they happen to coincide.

 

A little bit sore, flying squirrel trampoline park body this morning. Time for some stretching and a workout before going to the workhouse.

Haha, I can relate to this. Some days I try to act younger than I am and pay for it for a few days. Still fun, but humbling.

 

I had a light morning at work with one evaluation at the clinic to do from 7-9am. So I did that, finished up a few reports, and then went to our Ace Hardware garden center where I picked up a few packages of seeds.

Going to grow some okra this year. Not sure what to do with it, but I like to try at least one new thing in the garden each year. I plan on planting carrots, leeks, onions and arugula today.

We have finally turned the corner regarding spring. High in the 70s tomorrow. The ice went of Lake Minnetonka in the Minneapolis area yesterday, and all the snow piles are gone in our yard . Up north at the old homestead in Hovland is another story, but I will be up there soon to report back in early May.

 

Office is closed for Good Friday. Shut down the boiler for the season. Doing a little household work.
