A beautiful day in southwestern NY

Currently 64°F and sunny, with just a hint of a breeze.

Unfortunately there's rain in the long term forecast.

    Maybe they'll be wrong.

My beautiful wife (grandma) and baby

    upload_2019-4-6_17-19-38.png

Our middle son and his new niece.

It seems like just yesterday that our daughter and sons were newborns. Our granddaughter looks just like our newborn daughter complete with lots of dark hair. We are mesmerized and have been truly blessed! God and love are all that matters.

I picked up some roadside ash scrounge on my way home with the ATV.

Those are nice sized logs. I didn't try to lift them and just flipped then end over end.
    20190406_161723_HDR.jpg

    That worked just fine.

I'll unload these in a bit.

Attended my grandson's double header to day. They lost both games. :(.
My grandson played 3rd base and had a good game. Several put outs at first, couple of tags at third and several diving catches.
Other than that, nothing much happened except fixing supper.
Still lovely outside but my 92 year old mother is not suppose to be left alone and my wife is off shopping  with our granddaughter. Can't go and do anything outside.

Thanks for all your input on the tie color Hoarders :)

Majority here leans grey. Glad to know because in our previous careers red was a given, but, that was over a decade ago and this is not sales/marketing/PR meeting. This is one of my favorites over the years, believe it went to goodwill when he celebrated liberation from suits and ties   But this is the exact suit he'll be wearing. He's still leaning red but the grey with pin dotting has really grown on me.

Got that ash scrounge cut and split up.
    20190406_200145.jpg

That's probably 3 days of wood.

I also split up the last big round from the ash I cut from my yard last fall.

The tractor's battery is charging in the driveway after I pulled the tractor around to the driveway.

Now I have to find my compression tester so I can see if there's compression My stuff is not organized. No room to be with the small garage we have.

I suppose I could simply put my finger over each spark plug hole, one at a time. That will tell me if the engine is at least somewhat healthy or not.

Could get a loaner from autozone...the old finger trick will tell you if it is real low...but its hard to tell between so-so and good...

The finger trick will tell me if there's broken rod(s) or not though. That's my fear.

I think and hope it's just points/ condenser.

If it's low compression, I can buy rebuild kits for not a lot. Valvetrain stuff is a bit more scarce, but findable.
