In my better days this would have been nothing but believe it or not, this is more than a days work! But sometimes one just has to be what he is able to do then back off. This is a cord of wood and has been laying there since last year's gtg. There is more that needs stacking too and will try to get at it soon. Amazing that the ground is still froze under the wood and I had to break several pieces loose of the ice. It was also chilly working with that cold NW wind we had but I still worked up a sweat. The first picture was taken when I first got back there then the other is when I quit.
Nice work, Sir... but if your not aware of it.... your about to be over ran with a bunch of FHC’rs... ....
That's the nice thing about retirement, there's usually no hurry to get things done. I look forward to it in the next year or three.
thats great work Dennis, any time spent making firewood whether it be CSS or hauling is time well spent. Does wonder for the mind body and soul...until the next day when your body reminds you you made firewood the day before!
Come on up and join. I've had 3 hip surgeries and my wife has had 2. You'll fit right in. We won't even make you work. You can supervise.
Added a little bit to that stack yesterday. Probably won't do any today though. It is a bit wet out there so can do other things today.
