I think this will be my total amount burned this year. Just over 3 cords of fir and deodar. Almost exactly half of the woodshed. The Wif is still lighting an occasional fire but nothing serious. I am now three years+ ahead barring an ice age! usedwood.jpg

I would estimate 4 1/2 + cords. Down to morning fire to take the chill off and an occasional evening fire.
I started out with 3 cords up at the house. I then brought a cord up from the barn. Burnt a bin, built out of skids, full of chunks.
I can't remember if I brought a row up from the wood pile late in the season. I think I did and that would have been 1/2 cord.
Made it another year 100% wood heat.

Nice wood shed. We’re through about 6. Still firing up in the mornings and evenings to take the chill out. Would have loved to have most of the shed filled back in but my splitter has been giving me a little trouble. First problems I’ve had with it. Going to rotate forward the older wood and get the splitter fixed and start filling back in.

I'm right around 3 cords myself. Fire in the morning and one bigger one at night. Worst part about this time of year is going through all my super cedars with these cold restarts.

Very nice shed yourself! It just worked out that we burn about half a shed a year, front to back, so no rotation. I just refill the open half with wood stacked in front that has been seasoning for a while.

Know what you mean about the restarts. The Wif still has me splitting kindling!
campinspecter , that mix of wood could be the Official PNW Medley!

This is the last of a 2 1/2 cord pallet. We usually go thru that every season till May but I had a lot of hickory in this pallet so will fill in till then with a bunch of pine I have. Next three (years) pallets are all Red Oak so they will each last a season. The hickory burnt great but not as long as the oak does.

Cedar Deodar is a fast growing tree native to India that has been planted as landscape trees in the US. It can get quite large and is a similar wood to Fir with about 15%less BTU's and more ash in the stove. I posted before about this in Well, My Sister needs some fire pit wood for next summer! That post will give you a good idea of what it is. Not really a bad firewood for those of us used to burning conifers!

Because of the way I got wood this year it is difficult to know for sure how much we burned. But my best guess is around 4 cord...so far.

Whatever floats your boat. Deodar is loosely translated as wood of the gods so maybe if you use it and you're not a god you smell ungodly ?

I would say about 2 - 2.25 cords of ash burnt this year along with a small sliver of pine.

Still burning here. A good month of burning before I start to think about shut down.

Oct, Nov and Dec were surprisingly mild here and was burning noticeably less then.

If I ever get done working on my wood hauler (chasing a fuel problem) then I can tidy up my stacks and have a closer idea of useage. Guess would be 3 1/2 to 4.

At least 4-5 cords, but I don’t measure and refill the stacks as I go so it’s hard to tell. Still burning 24-7, but should get a break this weekend and be close to night only burning after that.

I know I have a lot of work to do refilling my now very empty stacks! :stacker:
