Some trail work completed this morning and then lunch break and a dump run for my parents and I. Now back out to the woods to extend the trail more.

Ya, and the old Blazer is a trip to drive, many drivers are afraid of it and actually avoid it

The wind is pretty busy here tonight. Here are the conditions on Mt. Washington in NH.

The rib eye grill out was a success! Got a  from 99. I marinated them with seasoned meat tenderizer the day before and they turned out great; sorry rottiman ; you may as well turn around now because there is none left!

T-bone tomorrow. I don't like freezing meat as I think the product deteriorates in the freezer, so....better eat them up!

On the serious side, I have found myself losing my taste for steak over the past few years.... and eating smaller portions. Maybe my body's way of telling me "enough already!"?

Wind is howling here too. Supposed to be "breezy here for another day. Had power flickers last night and the utilities were warming of outage possibilities. Going to have to keep my eyes peeled driving back roads for the first 13 miles this morning.

I barely eat red meat these days. I usually save it for trips to high end steak houses at work. I usually end up feeling like crap the next day. Definitely meat hangovers lol

If I eat red meat it's early in the day. Then I can do stuff and not get hungry for a long time. Salads for dinner.

Another thing I've noticed....if I skip breakfast-then eat a larger meal say...mid afternoon, I'm good for the day. Never thought I'd be at one meal a day, never!

But, I do my best to never let that happen intentionally! :beerbbq:

Regarding the T-bones-last night at shut eye time, 99 suggested we put them into the freezer, so...….. I guess that's what'll happen. I'll marinate them first and then wrap them up for their cold nap!

Looks like it is going to be a beautiful day to go out and work on the trail. Sunny with a high of 40. Currently about 25. Should not have to worry about ticks, or any bugs at these temps. Off I go.:saw:

Yup, Dad pointed that out back in the 60's.

"When you fish from shore, you cast out as far as you can. When you have a boat, you cast as close to shore as you can"...…..

I have had people fishing so close to the end of my dock that I could push their boat away with a pike pole! Led into some spirited conversations.

Protein is good for fueling the body for exercise/ work. I love eating salads, but I have to have some protein in them such as egg, bacon, nuts, ham, steak on it otherwise I get hangry and or logey.

I've had some of those conversations with fishermen when they hit my docked ski boat with a lure, or just got way too close to my boat.

I don't allow fishing from my ski boat. I sure as hell don't want any hooks in my interior.

Sitting here enjoying some freshly made bread sticks with hot butter. Yummy!!!!!!

My wife used to be a baker and she has always made good things until the last several years when she's had to slow down. We got to figuring and this is the first time in 5 years that she's made bread. No wonder it tastes so great!
