This poor neglected Pellet Stove was left covered outside on an open deck for 2 years! That is cruel and inhumane for any pellet stove that is very sensitive to moisture ! So my pellet stove rescue league jumped into action when I got the call! Back in the workshop we worked tirelessly and replaced the exhaust blower, Igniter, 2 frozen auger bearings then cleaned the rusty Augers and replaced the bad bearing gaskets and alas a ruined control panel! So now it is just an Ugly Ducking But do you think with more healing maybe a new burn pot or impingement plate and using a grinder and paint it can be a beautiful swan again someday??
    It heats really well now!!!

It was free To a good pellet stove man and I had some lightly used parts lying around to make it well, so it will be ok. :)
It has not had a good fire in it’s belly for 3 years so it must be feeling better now. :)

yea, what the heck...call it a hobby project! We rebuilt an Accentra F/S that survived the tornado that tore through town.....the house was literally GONE, and the Accentra was in the back yard, lying in its side in the weather......rebuilt, still runs today

Clean the loose rust off the surfaces and then treat the areas with "RUST MORT" and then Use a rust kill primer and follow with a good pellet stove paint.

She will look as good as new again
I picked up a used Whitfield Prodigy II a few years ago and it was a 5 alarm train wreck.
Been sitting in a barn, all the glass cracked, rusty all over, some clown had tried to repair it and just made a mess of it.
The ad on Craigs list said "Good shape..ready to run" Somebody was sniffing glue I think.... I would have left it there if the price had not dropped waaaaaaaay down....too far to drive to come home empty handed.

These little jewels in the rough can shine again for sure.

    Great deal Don....

You did an amazing job on that prodigy II Snowy, I remember that very well. I have worked on only one around here.
I just bought some Flap Discs for my grinder last night and hopefully we are going to work on it today.
After replacing some parts and polishing the Augers it runs like new. Hopefully it will look a little better. :)

Look no more rust! Those flap discs on the 4-1/2” grinder just eliminates the rust in minutes!!! That is the way to go, just takes a little elbow grease!!

Although I thought the rust added character like it looked weathered. Just like the pile of rusted metal in the scrap heap at the local landfill!!! :) LOL

Talk about a heavy weight - Anyone own that PG100 Englander Pellet grill? It weighs in at a heafty 265 lbs!! Not a lightweight by any means! It smokes and sears like crazy and won’t get knocked out like some of the competitors!!
    Pg100
Although it is no Yoder for sure! Has anyone seen that 440 lb gorilla monsoon? 10 year warranty says it all!!!
