What's a good reliable hour meter for my new woodsplitter?

Cost doesn't matter, preferably not made in China. I want it to keep track for oil changes and the like.
Here's the engine it will be going on.

Nice looking but they all require power.
I'm looking on Amazon and the cheap lcd's seem to be the way to go. Just a wire to wrap around the spark plug wire and battery powered.

I'd just go that route. Not all Chinese stuff is junk. I've actually found quite a bit of decent to great stuff from China.

This one looks good. Ip68 waterproof

I ended up buying this one. Tach and hours with a replaceable battery.

I guess live links don't C&P too well here.

Yeah, they do make some good stuff if someone's looking over their shoulder.
I have a first generation ipod touch that I bought around ten years ago that I have on at work for the stock market quotes and this is run all day every day and I shut it off at night and restart it every morning and it still works good.

I tried my Amazon link and it just didn't show up in my post. Maybe it was too long.

Change oil once per year and call it good? I can’t imagine running the unit that many hours each year , at least not myself and I split a lot.

I have bought 4 cheap ones off ebay. They work fine. Just be sure you get one that you can replace the battery in. The one on my wood splitter is a nicer one. It is also a tach and has a job timer on it. It illuminates when a button is pressed. It needs a battery about every 6 months. The one on my conveyor is just an hour meter, and the battery has never been replaced. It sits outside in the cold were the wood splitter is kept in a heated garage.

I split more than most too. I just like have an hour meter on it to know how many hours are on it. It is also an easy way for me to track how many hours it took me to split a tandem or triaxle load of wood. I also know that I can run little better than 4 hours off a tank of gas.
