Morning hoarders, the melt was progressing nicely but now they are guessing 4-8" of snow with freezing rain here tomorrow. :headbang::headbang::headbang: Everyone have a great and safe Friday.

Glad you didn't take the blower off, huh? We know better! :handshake:

Cool here this morning at 32 and rainy. Seems to have stopped now but everything is wet. :( I wanted to go out and cut some more brush and small trees to extend the new trail. Still might.

But it is a three day weekend off!:dancer::rootintootin::banana::fart: :emb::sherlock:So maybe I will take down all the plastic panels off the porch. That will be a nice improvement for spring! Then go out and cut some more of the trail. Hopefully, if I don’t make too much of a mess with the wheeler. We’ll see.

Had to take it off and put the loader on to scrape 6" of ice build up off the driveway. Debating whether to reverse the process. It's about a 1/2 hour job to change it over. Since it is supposed to warm up next week I may just use the loader to push it around instead.

Agreed. I'd do the same and leave it on.

That's the trouble with snowblowers, the buildup that they leave. I used a snowblower more this year than in probably the last 20 years and noticed that right away!

Thanks Midwinter, we had a thunderstorm come trough late afternoon but got less than 1 millimetre of rain. Hardly enough to wet the ground. It looks like our friend Rod didn’t suffer two much damage but unfortunately some of his neighbours have lost everything.

I have never known it to be so dry this late in the year. It’s scary I hope we get real rain soon!

Don't think it was caused by the blower. We had in excess of 40 freeze/thaw cycles and a abnormally high amount of freezing rain.

They do it at Burning Man every year, no?

Good to hear it's getting better up there Thor .

We leave for home on Monday. Our house will look different when we get back with all of the windows and siding and a new roof and gutters/ soffit and fascia. The roof was 80% done when we left.

That's why I like black top. That little bit left just melts away if the sun is out at all.

Yea they are getting plenty up north but virtually no rain down here. I really hope we get some good rain in the next month.

It is what it is. With spring break going on now, there's just not a lot of spare boats to use.

I enjoyed a Guinness yesterday as I've made that a habit on what was my Dad's birthday since he passed. I miss him a lot.
I also grilled out for all 4 of us, and I got my fishing license and just casting from the dock, I had a snook on, that came off 2 feet from the dock. Oh well. I'll try again today.

All sorts of things going on. Horkn in Florida with no boat, leoht burning up down under, lukem still trying to sort out his employment, Spring yesterday in the midwest that will soon look like winter again and the not so friendly Murphy all over the place, etc., etc.

Here, things are really looking up. I woke up this morning without a headache for the first time in months!!!!! It has been bad with a constant pressure in my head since late last summer. A lot of headaches day and night. So 2 days ago I went to the spine center for more shots. The last ones were last July. Wow! What a difference! My head does not hurt nor does my neck. (Neck is where the shots were.). So in the next month I'll be getting more of these shots plus a rhizotomy in my lower back so that should set me up for the summer at least. One can really get tired of all the hurting. Shots are only temporary but at least they let you feel better and allow you to do some of what you want to do. I wish I could get all the shots before the gtg but not so. At least I'll get some before then.

It is Friday, it is payday and it is going to be a clear sunny day today. Doesn't get much better than that. Fridays are short work days as well. At the end of our walk this morning, we didn't need the flashlights as the sky was getting light. A bright quarter moon was hanging low in the sky.
