A cool start, 21°, but nice strong sun will make a good day to work outside. It's been pretty dry, so the ground isn't muddy. We'll get some showers the next few days to green up the grass. Ah spring, the season when everything needs doing, before it gets hot!

About 14 earlier this morning. Cherry, Beech, and some Rice Coal in the Wood Gun. The sun is out strong again today.

21* here this morning forgot to put wood in the OWB yesterday as it was a nice sunny day and the house warmed up nicely. Woke to 58* in house went out to get fire going and found that there were enough hot coals that I didn't need paper or a light, threw on some kindling and some chunks of Maple and it blazed right up, I'll give it an hour or so then turn up the thermostat. Another nice sunny day ahead. These warmer temps. are certainly saving the wood pile. I have a little over a cord left to get me thru April and into May if need be I think it will be enough.

What are you too far south for a proper mud season?? You know the month or two when dirt roads are passable in morning but the grader gets stuck at 2pm and school buses stay on paved roads!!:D

Wow. I guess spring must be here. Heard some frogs yesterday afternoon and this morning about 30 miles south of us I saw a guy planing oats! It is not often we see oats get planted in March here. I did it once when I was a teenager and have seen it only a handful of times since. The guy this morning was doing a no-till.

Good evening ya'll 32* here now and just lit a fire for the evening with Elm & Boxelder. It was 18* @ 0430 this AM and the stove was full of coals. Of course I'm sure it was colder over in Vermont where the roads are always muddier. :thumbs: Canadian border VT , you're up at bat. Swing for the fence buddy.:binoculars:

26 and 76, another sunny day on tap, and slightly warmer into the mid 40’s before the rain moves in for the weekend. The snow pack should look a lot different in a few days.

A tad chilly this am. I've got my hoodie on letting the doggos do their thing in the yard this morning. It will warm up nicely. Off to pick up the pontoon boat that we'll have for 3 days Screenshot_2019-03-28-07-36-10.png

Looks like a nice day for melting snow is in store for us today. Spruce has the house toasty, we’re building more daylight each day,3 months ago we had just over 5.5 hours. 459E91D9-27D3-4991-8526-9DF7AC6F40C4.png 222412F5-DAFB-42D1-B4BB-EED39A8F5960.png

Rope, you are way ahead of us now.

Overnight low was an amazing 45 degrees!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Needles to say, no overnight fire. Have not used much wood in the last few days. I like that for a change. Will need some over the weekend but should warm back up fairly quick. Not enough for sunbathing or swimming but nice for working outdoors.

Weather forecast says 60 today but I doubt it. They've predicted it a couple times already and we've fell way short of it. But 50's are nice for working.
